Hard To Hold

Could have unearthed my feelings to you long ago,

But you were like the white feather restless in my hands.

I so wished my wishes to leave their broken grave,

But you were like the earthly ground covering me.

Long lost and forgotten yet strong and alive within,

Like roses with dangling petals you were ever ready  to leave.

I was like the patient tree waiting every season,

And you were like the cherry blossoms dying and living.

But now time has turned and tides are tuned,

I lean on knees and ask for your love for a restful lifetime,

Will you now stay with like the ever-green leaves?
