I Swear

Loosing my features where tides tuned,

Life becomes humdrum when money earned.

Where’s the joy and love around,

When lost in material mud?

Venturing into a path less traversed,

A challenge I throw to myself.

To enjoy little tidbits of bliss,

Turning time to my servant.

Not much to ask, not much to crave,

No such desires tending grim fate.

Just dear love and a little craze!

That this heart yearns for its course.

Pain shatters me, still I breathe,

‘Cause I know here lies my little bed.

What’s life without darkness?

When there comes light of merry after.

so, I swear I’ll dance in the rain,

Till my lungs burst free!

I swear I’ll enjoy my strife,

Till happiness is bound to come.

My fate not in the hands of the world,

But just in the grasp of my heart.

So, I’ll lead it the way I desire,

Through the rocky path of the green forest,

Till death comes and engulfs it in its arms.
